In the Windows File Explorer, right-click a DWG file and choose Open With > Choose another app. In the window, select "AutoCAD DWG Launcher." Select the checkbox for "Always use this app to open .dwg files." Click OK. The drawing file should open in AutoCAD at this point. If AutoCAD DWG Launcher is not listed as a choice:
